Burning Mouth Syndrome Treatments depend largely on what symptoms the sufferer is experiencing. There is no known cure for burning mouth syndrome. Sometimes it will disappear on its own after about 5 years or it can continue for life. There are medications that may help decrease some of the symptoms but only a doctor can decide on a course of treatment for BMS.
