Prof. Meir Gorsky is a specialist in Oral Medicine since 1977. He joined the Tel Aviv University, School of Dental Medicine in 1972 after graduating the faculty of Dental Medicine at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. In 1976, He was appointed director of a two-year retraining program in dentistry for new immigrant dentists from the U.S.S.R.
Since 1977 Prof. Gorsky Has been in charge of the course in Oral Medicine for undergraduate and graduate students, Tel Aviv university. In 1981-1982 and in 1984 he was a postdoctoral Oral Cancer and clinical pathology fellow in the department of Oral Medicine and Hospital Dentistry in the School of Dentistry of the University of California in San Francisco. He also has been invited to serve as a visiting professor at several academic institutions in the USA.
Prof. Gorsky is a Member of the Dental National Board Examination Committee for licensing in dentistry, Ministry of Health, Israel and was Chairman of the Oral Medicine Committee of the Scientific Council of the Dental Association and Ministry of Health, Israel.
Prof. Gorsky is invited to give courses and to lecture nationally and worldwide on topics of Oral Medicine in general and on Vesiculoulcerative oral lesions as well as oral cancer/pre-cancer in particular. He is an author of over 150 scientific publications and abstracts and serves as a reviewer of research grants proposals and of papers submitted for publication in professional academic journals.
